Linocut Printing Workshops - 26 Oct 2019

On Saturday Sarah, Alison, Harriet and Nicola joined me on my introduction to linocut workshop.

Here’s what they said....

What did you enjoy the most about the day?

“Learning all the techniques used in linocut.

To be able to create a lovely design today and continue the experience at home.

Small group. Lots of input, advice and encouragement.”

“Learning the new skills“

“I loved everything about the course, seeing your work and trying it ourselves. Thank you so much!”

“I really enjoyed chatting to Michelle and getting to see her designs and craft process in her studio and home.”

Sarah created a seed head design and experimented with ghost printing. The inks we used are Hawthorn oil based ink. They are semi transparent and so you can see the

different layers of inks on final print.

Alison created a design in sage green ink of a seed head.

Harriet created a autumn hedgehog linocut print.

Nicola created a landscape design. She cut away the top part of the lino to get a clean sky.

Linocut workshops and courses

My linocut workshops are all held in my York print studio. I teach in small groups of no more than four people, so that everyone gets lots of one to one tuition.

Find out more about my workshops and next dates here.

Looking for a private workshop experience for you and your friends?

If you'd like to book a creative day for a special occasion for 4 people get in touch.

Linocut and printmaking equipment

Find out more about the tools and equipment needed to create linocut prints in my 'lino cutting equipment' blog.
