An original linocut print of Bluebells and Ferns, handprinted in deep violet-blue and soft green tones.
 
Inspiration
This print was inspired by walks through bluebell woods in Ilkley, Yorkshire. Each spring, the woodland floor is covered in a vibrant blue carpet, punctuated by the fresh green of unfurling ferns. Our native English bluebells bloom in April and May, bringing colour and life to ancient woodlands.
 
How it’s made
This Bluebells and Ferns print is created using a traditional multi-block linocut technique.   Each colour layer is carved from a separate lino block, which are carefully aligned and handprinted in my York studio using high-quality, oil-based inks.

Limited Edition: Signed and numbered, part of a small edition of 60 prints
Hand-printed onto 200 gsm soft white, acid-free paper.

Mount Size: 305mm x 305mm (fits a 12" × 12" frame)
Mounted Original Linocut Print: Supplied unframed, mounted in a soft white, acid-free mount with a protective backing board, and wrapped in cellophane for protection.

How to Take Care of Your Original Print
This original print is created using professional, high-quality oil-based inks, along with acid-free paper and mounts. While the inks have excellent lightfastness, I recommend hanging your print out of direct sunlight. Read more on my FAQs page.
