Art Licensing
I license my linocut prints and hand-drawn illustrations for commercial and editorial use. Inspired by British landscapes, wildlife, and nature, my work is graphic, simple, and stylised, using bold tonal blocks and an organic, natural colour palette. I’m influenced by vintage railway posters and mid-century design, giving the work a timeless quality and a strong sense of place.
My artwork is well-suited to book covers, greeting cards, giftware, homeware, wall art, interiors, marketing, and editorial projects, and reproduces beautifully across both print and digital formats. You can choose from an extensive portfolio of coastal scenes, landscapes, wildlife, and botanical linocut prints.
Clients include York Hospital ICU, the Urgent Care Centre at James Cook Hospital in Middlesbrough, Resurgence & The Ecologist magazine, and book publishers worldwide.
Licensing is available for existing artwork. Examples are shown in my gallery. To view the full art licensing portfolio, please get in touch.
I’m also happy to discuss bespoke commissions in response to specific briefs. You can see examples of previous projects on my commissions page.

Art licensing FAQ
What does licensing art mean?
Licensing artwork means granting permission (a license) for someone (a business or publisher) to use your artwork commercially for their products or marketing (for books, cards, homeware).
What is a licence?
A licence is an agreement for payment (fees or royalties) and terms of use. It specifies the usage rights and terms of use, including the territory covered, the duration of the licence, whether the licence is exclusive or non-exclusive, and the estimated print run and/or the size of the business.
How much does it cost for a licence to use artwork?
The license fee varies and is based on the usage rights and terms of use. I am a member of the AOI (Association of Illustrators) and use their fee calculator to calculate fees. Please email me with an outline of the usage, territory, licence duration and client or business details for a quote.
