Bring the beauty of the North York Moors into your home with this original linocut print of Farndale, looking towards the dramatic heather-covered ridge of Blakey Ridge. A perfect gift for walkers, nature lovers, and anyone with fond memories of the Yorkshire countryside.
Each piece is hand-printed in small editions using traditional linocut techniques in my studio in York, UK. This handmade print captures the peaceful atmosphere of the Farndale Valley, an area renowned for its springtime display of wild daffodils.
Inspiration
Inspired by a summer’s day cycling through Farndale in the North York Moors National Park.
How it’s made
Printed by hand in my York studio using traditional linocut techniques, this artwork is created through a combination of the multi-block and jigsaw linocut processes. Each colour layer is individually printed with oil-based ink on soft white, acid-free paper, with several days of drying between layers.
