A linocut print of Marbled White Butterflies resting on Scabious flowers.
I was inspired by photos taken in the Yorkshire Wolds. I was drawn to their distinctive chequered black and white pattern contrasting against the purple of the scabious flower petals. Marbled white butterflies are usually seen flying in the UK from June to August in the UK.
