Inspiration

This print was inspired by the sweeping view across Runswick Bay, looking towards the last remaining thatched cottage on the Yorkshire Coast. The design began as sketches made from photographs I captured while walking the Cleveland Way, on the stretch between Runswick Bay and Staithes.

How it’s Made

This print is made using traditional linocut printmaking techniques. Four individually hand-carved blocks are carefully aligned and hand-printed in my York studio using high-quality oil-based inks.

Hand-printed onto 200 gsm soft white, acid-free paper.

Mounted Original Linocut: Supplied unframed, mounted in a soft white, acid-free mount with a protective backing board, and wrapped in cellophane for protection.
