An original linocut print of Upper Wharfedale in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, capturing the beauty of this dramatic landscape of rolling hills, stone-built villages and winding valley paths.
 
Inspiration
This print was inspired by a walk up to Buckden Pike in the Yorkshire Dales. The view looks towards the village of Starbotton as I walked down from the summit, with the sweeping landscape of Wharfedale opening out below.
 
How it's made
This Upper Wharfedale print is created using a traditional multi-block linocut technique. Seven individually hand-carved lino blocks are carefully aligned and hand-printed in my York studio using professional-quality oil-based inks.

Hand-printed onto 200 gsm soft white, acid-free paper.

Mounted Original Linocut Print: Supplied unframed, mounted in a soft white, acid-free mount with a protective backing board, and wrapped in cellophane for protection.

This original print is created using professional, high-quality oil-based inks, along with acid-free paper and mounts. While the inks have excellent lightfastness, I recommend hanging your print out of direct sunlight. Read more on my FAQs page.
