Product description
Bring the beauty of the Yorkshire Coast into your home with this original linocut print of Whitby, hand-printed in rich tones of indigo blue and turquoise. A thoughtful gift for walkers, hikers, and sea lovers, or a timeless piece of art for anyone who feels connected to the sea.
Inspiration
This print captures the iconic view of Whitby Abbey and the Church of St. Mary perched on the East Cliff, overlooking the traditional fishermen’s cottages of the old town. The River Esk winds its way out to the North Sea, evoking the charm and history of this beloved coastal town.
How it’s made
This print is made using traditional linocut printmaking techniques. Four individually hand-carved blocks are carefully aligned and hand-printed in my York studio using high-quality oil-based inks.
