An original Wild carrot linocut print, hand-printed in denim blue and carefully finished with hand-painted detail.
Wild carrot can be found growing in hedgerows, open grasslands, meadows, and coastal paths, especially on chalky soils, where it thrives in sun and wind. Its tiny white flowers gather in delicate umbrella-like clusters, sometimes touched with the palest hint of mauve or soft pink.
Each print is made by hand in my Yorkshire studio, capturing the airy structure and quiet charm of this familiar countryside wildflower.
How it’s Made
Each print is individually hand-printed in my York studio using denim blue oil-based ink. The flowers and leaves are then carefully hand-coloured in layered shades of pink and green, giving each piece its own subtle variations and character.
