'Striding Edge, Helvellyn',
Lake District –
Original Linocut Print

The inspiration for this print came from a week walking and camping at Ullswater in the Lake District.

I’m building my confidence in walking in the fells on my own. I sat by Red Tarn, at the base of Helvellyn, watching the hikers walk along Striding Edge. That was way out of my comfort zone. Although not part of my plan, I eventually plucked up the courage to climb Swirral Edge. Thank you to everyone I chatted to and spurred me on that day!

A 4-colour multi-block print hand-printed with oil-based inks. The layering of colours creates additional tones.
