Celebrate your love of the outdoors with this original linocut print of Malham Cove, hand-printed using four individually carved lino blocks and richly pigmented oil-based inks. Available in sage or lime green, each print captures the beauty of this iconic Yorkshire landscape. Perfect for walkers and nature lovers, this print is a lasting reminder of time spent exploring the Dales.
Inspiration
Malham Cove is one of the Yorkshire Dales’ most iconic natural features — a dramatic, curved limestone cliff that once hosted a dramatic waterfall. Walkers and hikers are drawn here for the awe-inspiring views from the top, where a striking limestone pavement stretches out and offers sweeping views across Malhamdale.
How it’s made
Printed by hand in Yorkshire using traditional linocut techniques, this artwork is made using the multi-block process and four hand-carved lino blocks — one for each colour. Each colour is individually printed with oil-based ink on soft white, acid-free paper, with several days of drying between layers. See step-by-step how I made this linocut print in my How I made Malham Cove linocut print blog.
