Inspiration

Robin Hood's Bay is a small fishing village on the Yorkshire Coast. The inspiration for this print comes from one of my favourite walks along the Cleveland Way. Starting at Ravenscar, the coastal path follows the cliff tops to Robin Hood’s Bay.

How it’s made

This Robin Hood's Bay print is made using traditional linocut printmaking techniques. Each colour layer is carved from a separate lino block, using the multi-block technique. The final print uses four hand-carved lino blocks. Each one is printed by hand in my York studio using high-quality, oil-based inks.
